Our Neuchâtel factory has always been at the forefront of innovation efforts. It is what we call a dual factory as it produces heated tobacco sticks for our leading smoke-free product and conventional products.

The Industrial Development Center (IDC), located just next to the factory, is fully dedicated to innovation and scale-up solutions for our products.

PMI has been present in Switzerland for more than 60 years. In 2014 the company celebrated it’s 50th anniversary and built this totem to mark the event. But the company’s origin dates back to 1847 when Mr Philip Morris opened his first tobacco shop on Bond Street in London, selling tobacco and handmade cigarettes.

The water in the public swimming pool next to our Calumet restaurant is heated using surplus heat from our machines.
